The agenda and details of the CSI workshop are now available on the resources tab.

This year’s workshop has two main purposes:
(1) To introduce the overall CSI technical products-based sustainable business plan for Reliable Electricity initiative programs and answer questions from potential partners; and
(2) To present the goals, strategies and plans for a new community-based education model that builds on strong partnerships with multiple technical/educational NGO partners at the Posner Center for International Development.

Since formed in 2010, CSI has been steadily progressing to build a sustainable business model and educational model infrastructure to deploy in thousands of communities that are totally off-grid with little hope of electricity in the foreseeable future. The basis is a standard technical and sustainable business model designed to be quickly scalable to a large reach globally. IEEE being a global institution is an ideal vehicle to promote such a solution with open source designs and a documented business plan complete with standard operating procedures.

More information is available on the workshop’s agenda.
